Ordering terms
Every Medley order is made with care. These terms explain how we handle requests, changes and cancellations. Send your enquiry by email or WhatsApp; we will confirm your order personally.
Choosing your order
Please check the product, size or piece quantity, flavour, personalisation and requested date carefully. Serving guides are approximate and depend on the finished cake and how it is cut. Photographs show the style of our work; small differences in handmade finishing and fresh fruit are natural. We will agree any material change to your selection with you.
Notice and availability
Signature cakes require at least 24 hours’ notice. Patisserie and gift boxes require at least 48 hours. Hosting orders and bespoke cakes require at least 7 days. Larger or more detailed requests may need longer, which we will confirm before accepting your order.
All times are London time. Your requested date is subject to availability; meeting the minimum notice period does not reserve it. An enquiry or automated acknowledgement is not acceptance. We confirm acceptance in writing with the agreed products, price and date. If we cannot accept your request, we will tell you and refund any payment taken for it.
Prices
Prices are in pounds sterling. Any delivery charge is shown separately before payment. An agreed order price will not be changed without your agreement. Payment and fulfilment arrangements will be agreed directly before we accept your order. This website does not take online payments.
Changes and rescheduling
Email us as soon as possible if you need a change. Changes depend on availability and how far preparation has progressed. We will explain any additional cost before you decide. A new date or revised order is only agreed when we confirm it in writing; until then, the original arrangement stands.
Cancellations
Send cancellation requests to hello@medleycatering.com, quoting your order details. If no work has started and no costs have been committed, we will refund your payment in full.
If preparation has started or costs have been committed, we may retain only a reasonable amount for work already carried out and costs we cannot recover because of the cancellation. We will explain the calculation, take reasonable steps to reduce the loss and account for savings or amounts recovered. We will not charge twice for the same loss or retain more than the order price. Any remaining balance will be refunded.
Because our food is perishable, and some items are personalised, the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply. This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, unsafe or not as described.
If Medley needs to cancel
If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will contact you promptly. You can choose an agreed alternative or a full refund for the unfulfilled part. We will not replace your order with a materially different product without your agreement.
Allergens and care
Read the product-specific ingredient and allergen information before ordering. Please ask about any ingredient you need to avoid; we will confirm whether we can meet the request before accepting it. Do not assume a product is free from an allergen because it is absent from a photograph or flavour description.
Keep fresh dairy-filled cakes and desserts refrigerated at 0–5°C. They are best enjoyed on the day received. Consume by the labelled use-by date and no later than three days from production; a shorter labelled date takes priority. Follow the instructions supplied with other products.
If something is wrong
Contact us as soon as you can with your order details and a description of the problem. Photographs can help us understand what happened. We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy. No complaints deadline in these terms takes away your statutory rights.
